Matt Tedder Live Sunday, Nov. 14th
Matt Tedder will be performing live at Record Town Nov. 14th from 11 am - 2 pm at the outdoor brunch market! This is a fun, free event for the whole family to enjoy local food and musical talent.
Matt Tedder, Fort Worth native, is noted by many as an artist to watch!. He has been noted as an "old sole" with his songwriting style being compared to Jackson Browne, Tom Waites and Tom Petty.
Here's what NPR Music Live Sessions had to say about him recently.
"Matt Tedder was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. His age can easily be forgotten when listening to his music. Matt has often been called an old soul because of his distinct style of songwriting that some say is reminiscent of artists such as Jackson Browne, Tom Waits and Tom Petty. Many local TV news stations and newspapers labeled Matt a guitar prodigy at the early age of 10. By 14 he assembled a band and started playing locally and internationally when he was invited to play the Thunder Bay Blues Festival in Ontario, Canada in 2012. At 17 Matt moved move to Nashville to pursue a full time music career. Shortly after arrival he was chosen to represent Nashville in the 2014 IBCs (International Blues Challenge), a gathering of over 200 acts to compete where Matt made it to the finals (top 17) and played the historic Orpheum Theater. Matt left Nashville to return to his hometown of Fort Worth and release his debut album, "California Mercy Me" in October of 2016. The record draws influences from The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles and Chris Whitley — a mixture of classic rock, soulful blues and modern folk."
We are very excited to have him perform for our event! Don't miss out - it'll be tons of fun!
