Stephen Bruton passed away 13 years ago but he leaves behind much more than his music. He was a kind, creative and funny soul who drew people near him for all the right reasons. He was not just talented musically, he cared about others and was happy to help. His musical legacy is only one small aspect of Stephen Bruton but his friends know he was much more and is the kind of friend who can never be forgotten or replaced.
Record Town opened for business on February 1, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas. Kathleen and Sumter Bruton II decided to open a record store because of their deep love and knowledge of music.
