1What kind of music do you buy?
Record Town buys a wide variety of music to match the diverse tastes of our customers. Our bestsellers include Classic Rock, Jazz, Country, Soul & Funk, Blues, and Soundtracks. We also buy Bluegrass, Folk, World, and Easy Listening records.
2Do you buy any formats besides LPs and CDs?
We primarily buy LPs and CDs. We occasionally accept cassettes, 45s, and 8-tracks when they are part of a larger LP or CD purchase. These formats are typically used as promotional giveaways for our customers.
3How much is my collection worth?
Our experienced team carefully evaluates each collection to ensure you receive the best possible value. We use several methods to determine the worth of each LP or CD, and we’ll always offer you a fair and competitive price.
4How do I sell my records at the store?
If your collection is easy to bring in, we can usually evaluate it while you wait. For larger or more time-consuming evaluations, we’ll securely hold your collection in our evaluation area and typically provide an offer within a day or two.
5Will a buyer come to my house?
Yes! We often travel to evaluate and purchase large collections. Because LPs are heavy and difficult to move, it’s often easier for us to come to you. We can evaluate your collection on-site and pay cash for what we buy.

7Can I just bring in a bunch of records and CDs?
Absolutely! We buy LPs and CDs in very good condition or better. Please make sure sleeves and cases are clean and undamaged — scratches, torn covers, or broken cases can affect value. We’ll always provide a fair, honest evaluation.
8Will you take everything in my collection?
If your collection is strong, we’re happy to buy it all. In some cases, only certain LPs or CDs may have resale value, and we’ll make offers on those items. If you prefer to sell everything, we’ll make a fair bulk offer.
9What if my collection is too big?
We love large collections! Record Town regularly buys massive vinyl and CD collections to expand our store inventory and give our customers even more choices. No collection is too big—bring it on!
10Do you buy bulk vinyl?
Yes! Whether you’re clearing out storage or just have extra LPs or CDs to sell, we’re ready to buy. Record Town is always interested in bulk purchases and large collections.
